Clear Channel Outdoor (CCO) has renewed and expanded its advertising partnership with Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP), marking more than two decades of cooperation as the airport prepares for a major terminal expansion and modernization project.

Announced on October 27, the agreement follows a competitive selection process and includes an initial three-year contract with an option to renew. Clear Channel will invest in new digital out-of-home (DOOH) infrastructure, experiential advertising and upgraded branded displays throughout the airport.

The centerpiece of the program will be a network of double-sided digital screens positioned across the airport concourse. These displays will deliver dynamic advertising content while creating additional opportunities for brands to reach passengers throughout their airport journey.

The expansion comes as ECP continues to experience strong passenger growth. The airport handled a record 1.9 million passengers in 2025, representing a 3.1% increase from the previous year. Its passenger base includes leisure travelers visiting Florida’s Emerald Coast, making the airport an attractive advertising environment for tourism, hospitality and consumer brands.

Morten Gotterup, President of Clear Channel Outdoor’s Airports Division, said the renewed partnership would combine digital, experiential and high-impact media to enhance the passenger experience and strengthen connections between brands and travelers.

The airport is also undertaking a major terminal expansion scheduled for completion in 2029. The project will increase passenger capacity and improve terminal facilities, creating further opportunities for advertising infrastructure development.

The agreement reflects a broader trend in airport OOH advertising, where digital technology, strategically positioned media and branded experiences are increasingly integrated into terminal development. For airport operators, such investments can also support non-aeronautical revenue growth while offering advertisers access to valuable travel audiences.
