Seoul Gets Ready for BTS Comeback at Gwanghwamun as OOH Media Prepare for Live Coverage
Seoul is preparing for a major influx of visitors as K-pop group BTS is set to hold a comeback performance at Gwanghwamun Square on March 21.
City officials expect up to 260,000 people to gather in and around the plaza, including large numbers of international tourists traveling to Korea for the event.
To welcome foreign visitors, Seoul has installed greeting messages in seven languages along major routes such as Sejong-daero and near key tourist attractions around Gwanghwamun.
Large digital OOH screens across the district have also completed technical tests to broadcast the concert live, allowing crowds beyond the main plaza to follow the performance. In addition, BTS comeback-related content will be broadcast on large outdoor digital billboards installed around the square from 7 p.m. on March 20 until midnight on March 21, as the city finalizes preparations for the highly anticipated global event.
