LG Unveils 115㎡ LED Display Installation at Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3
LG Electronics has completed a major LED signage installation at Terminal 3 of Frankfurt Airport, one of Europe’s busiest international aviation hubs, further strengthening its presence in the global airport digital display market.
The project features approximately 115 square meters of large-format LED displays located within the terminal’s premium duty-free “Market Place” area. Designed to enhance the passenger experience, the installation delivers immersive digital content and high-impact visual communication in a key commercial zone.
A notable aspect of the project is its focus on safety and compliance. LG said the displays were engineered to meet stringent fire safety and operational requirements, ensuring reliable performance in a high-traffic airport environment.
The installation reflects a growing trend among airports to use advanced digital display technology to improve wayfinding, retail engagement, and overall passenger experience. As newly developed terminals increasingly incorporate digital infrastructure from the outset, large-scale LED displays are becoming a central component of modern airport design.
With the Frankfurt Airport project, LG continues to expand its footprint in the transportation sector, providing display solutions that combine visual impact, operational reliability, and regulatory compliance for some of the world’s most demanding public spaces.
