Netflix Korea Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Korean Traditional Street Festival in Seoul
Netflix Korea brought traditional Korean music and festive street performances to central Seoul as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations, engaging local residents and visitors through a cultural event in the heart of the capital.
The celebration took place around the Dong-A Media Center in Gwanghwamun, near Cheonggyecheon Stream, one of Seoul's busiest cultural and commercial districts. The event featured the "Netflix Pungak Band," which brought the lively sounds and colorful traditions of Korean folk music to the streets.
The venue is home to LUUX, one of South Korea's largest digital out-of-home (DOOH) displays. Installed on the exterior of the Dong-A Media Center, the massive LED screen measures approximately 49.5 meters wide and 60.5 meters high, covering nearly 3,000 square meters. Its distinctive curved structure makes it a prominent landmark visible from Gwanghwamun Square, Cheonggye Plaza and surrounding streets.
At ground level, the festivities extended to the outdoor event space in front of the building's open studio, where traditional musicians and performers interacted with Seoul residents and visitors.
The street celebration combined traditional Korean entertainment with Netflix's global brand identity, creating a festive atmosphere in one of Seoul's most recognizable public spaces.
The campaign reflected Netflix Korea's efforts to celebrate its decade-long presence in the Korean market through cultural performances and direct engagement with local audiences.Sharpen the article’s openingUse a more newspaper-style tone
