LIVE BOARD has released a new white paper outlining how the integration of digital advertising and digital out-of-home (DOOH) media can enhance campaign performance and expand audience reach.

The report summarizes insights from a joint webinar held on January 27, 2026, with Hakuhodo DY ONE, focusing on the growing role of data-driven DOOH in modern marketing strategies. As media consumption becomes increasingly fragmented and consumer behavior continues to evolve, the paper addresses how advertisers can better connect digital channels with physical environments to maximize impact.

According to LIVE BOARD, the white paper highlights recent trends in the DOOH market, including the rise of programmatic buying, improved targeting capabilities, and more sophisticated measurement frameworks. It also presents practical case studies demonstrating how combining digital advertising with DOOH can drive both reach extension and performance outcomes.

A key theme is the shift toward impression-based measurement in OOH. LIVE BOARD emphasized its use of Visibility Adjusted Contact (VAC), a metric that estimates actual ad exposure by incorporating audience movement and visibility factors. This approach aligns with global measurement standards and reflects the industry’s push for greater accountability.

The report also underscores the strategic role of DOOH within an omnichannel media mix. By linking real-world exposure with digital engagement, DOOH is increasingly positioned as a performance-driven channel rather than a purely awareness tool.

LIVE BOARD said it will continue to provide research and market insights to support the development of the DOOH ecosystem in Japan, as advertisers seek more data-driven and measurable solutions in an increasingly complex media landscape.
