Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN) handled nearly 19.9 million passengers during the first three months of 2026, underscoring the continued recovery of international air travel and reinforcing the airport’s status as one of Asia’s leading aviation hubs.

According to Incheon International Airport Corporation, total passenger volume reached 6.92 million in January, followed by 6.41 million in February and 6.58 million in March. Combined first quarter traffic stood at 19.91 million passengers. Arrivals totaled 10.06 million, while departures reached 9.85 million.

Terminal 1 processed 10.18 million passengers during the quarter, while Terminal 2 handled 9.73 million, showing balanced demand across both facilities. March figures indicated a seasonal rebound after February’s shorter calendar month, with monthly traffic rising more than 170,000 passengers.

For the airport advertising sector, the sustained flow of travelers is particularly significant. High passenger volumes translate into stronger audience delivery for premium digital out of home inventory across terminals, duty free zones, transport links and baggage halls. International airports remain one of the most valuable environments for brands seeking affluent consumers, business travelers and high dwell time audiences.

The data also suggests stable momentum heading into the second quarter, traditionally supported by spring travel and early summer bookings. If current trends continue, Incheon Airport is positioned for another strong year in passenger recovery, creating fresh opportunities for travel retail and airport media operators alike.
