The Tax Free World Association will unveil a fully reimagined TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore next May, signaling a strategic shift in how the global travel retail industry connects, innovates and grows.

The 2026 edition introduces a redesigned exhibition layout and two major new platforms — World of Innovation and Taste of the World — reflecting the rapid evolution of the Asia Pacific market and changing traveller expectations.

According to Sarah Branquinho, President of TFWA, the Singapore edition builds on the spirit of modernization introduced in Cannes, with refreshed formats and new dedicated spaces aimed at fostering meaningful conversations, creativity and collaboration. Major global brands including Estée Lauder, Brown-Forman, Mondelez, JT International, Lacoste, Travel Blue and Thélios have already reconfirmed participation, underscoring strong industry backing.

The exhibition will feature category-focused halls to enhance navigation and visibility. Level 1 will host Perfumes & Cosmetics and Fashion, while Basement 2 will house Wines & Spirits, Confectionery, Tobacco and the new feature zones. Central hubs within each “World” will act as meeting points and, for the first time, incorporate high-impact LED screens designed to increase brand exposure and drive visitor traffic.

World of Innovation will serve as a technology-driven showcase highlighting emerging retail concepts, breakthrough products and digital solutions shaping the future of travel retail. Anchored by a large amphitheatre, the space will host talks, workshops, start-up pitches and exclusive product launches, positioning it as a key destination for buyers seeking fresh commercial opportunities.

Meanwhile, Taste of the World responds to the growing importance of food and beverage within the traveller journey. With F&B accounting for roughly 20 percent of airport dwell time and up to half of non-aeronautical revenues at some airports, TFWA is introducing a gastronomy-focused hub combining curated brand activations, live demonstrations and immersive experiences. The integration of the TFWA Asia Pacific Lounge within this space is expected to further boost engagement.

A curated networking program will complement the exhibition, including a welcome cocktail at Gardens by the Bay, lounge evenings featuring live show cooking, and a closing event at Alkaff Mansion.

With its new infrastructure and content-driven approach, TFWA Asia Pacific 2026 aims to position Singapore firmly at the center of the next phase of global travel retail development.
